GRANTS AND INCENTIVES
SOLAR PV PANELS
Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) provides a great system of support to help homeowners. The SEAI currently award home owners grants of up to €2,400.00 towards the installation of solar panel if you are deemed eligible.
Am I Eligible?
In order to qualify for the grant, the following
conditions apply:

Support is available to all owners of properties constructed and occupied before 2011.
SEAI must not have previously offer support for a solar PV system at that address.
BER C or better must be achieved following the installation of solar panels.
SEAI approval must be granted prior to any installation
Grant Funding Available
€900 per kWp (up to 2kWp) – Homeowner will receive €1800.00 for 2kWp solar panels (i.e 6/7 panels)
€300.00 for each additional kWp up to 4kWp if you get a battery.
Total grant capped at
€2,400.00
BATTERY STORAGE
In addition to Solar PV Systems, the SEAI also cover battery energy storage systems. These are used with larger solar PV systems to stop excess electricity generated during the daytime so it can be utilised later. This is newer technology and is recommend to be installed in suitable homes.
